You may have noticed a new name in our online music tools: MPC Toolkit is now MPCKit.
The reason is simple: we want to make a clearer distinction between our website and our browser-based creative tools.
MPCtoolkit.com remains the main website and home for our downloads, news, tutorials and standalone tools such as MPC Control Manager, MPC Wavetable Studio and other MPC-related utilities.
MPCKit, on the other hand, is the name of our online creative environment — the place where you can work directly in your browser with tools for chopping samples, stem separation, time stretching, Audio-to-MIDI, sequencing and more.
Nothing is being taken away. The change is mainly about making the two areas easier to understand:
MPCtoolkit.com → Website, downloads, desktop tools & resources
MPCKit → Online music production & sample tools
Development of MPCKit will continue, with an increasing focus on connecting the individual tools into one workflow. Start with a sample, chop it, create stems, stretch audio, build patterns in the sequencer, arrange a song and save everything as a project.
So while the name is changing, the idea remains the same:
Useful tools for MPC users, beatmakers and sample-based producers — without unnecessary complexity.
Welcome to MPCKit.
